Expanded Humanitarian Response Fund (ERF)

The Expanded Humanitarian Response Fund (ERF) provide quick and flexible funding of up to US$400,000 to national and international organizations for urgent humanitarian activities in Iraq to alleviate the suffering of the civilian population through emergency response to humanitarian needs.

Important Announcement

The ERF Fund Management Cell announces that the cut-off date for receiving ERF proposals is 31 October 2011. Any proposal submitted to the ERF Team after this date will not be considered for funding.

The ERF programme funded by Iraq Trust Fund (ITF), was implemented in partnership between UNOCHA and UNDP Iraq. With the closure of UNOCHA Iraq’s offices on 31 March 2011, the programme will be fully implemented by UNDP Iraq starting from 1 April 2011. Any role for UNOCHA Iraq under the posted ERF Charter will be covered by UNDP Iraq starting from 1 April 2011.

Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) - UNAMI

UNAMI QIPs support activities that promote the peace process, foster confidence building between the government and civil society, and address urgent needs identified at the community level.
